In case you don’t recognize the photo above, it is the album cover for Likuid Eklektik’s first album… Never2Late and, it will finally be available for sale on humanmusique productions (hmp) bandcamp page as of Saturday, March 1, 2025 ( https://bandcamp.com/hmpbcfan ). This version/mix is a definite improvement. There are some slight changes in parts on some of the songs with some newly recorded or edited parts. I’m very satisfied with the results and this will definitely be the bar for all future mixes to come for hmp. Also, as I mentioned in a previous episode, everyone that purchased this album will receive a free copy of the improved version very soon. Keep an eye on your email. And now we move forward.
What does that mean? Now I move on and finish the second Likuid Elektik album,NO LIMITS:2020. There won’t be any information posted for a timeframe to finish this one. I will send out some updates while in the process and make the announcement once the album is complete.

Hello everyone.. tis I once again. The one with music. Soooo… What’s the word, you might ask. Let me tell you then. I have an extended agreement with a distribution company. However, nothing can be done with reference to me moving forward with the agreement right away. So many changes within the music industry. This is something I knew in loose terms but, being faced with an actual working relationship, I see some of the many changes in detail in the areas of distribution and promotion in particular.
Why am I not moving forward at the moment? Song protection and videos… in both cases, the lack of. My songs are currently protected by copyrights as what’s called a “collection”. Meaning.. that as long as my songs are in an album/cd package they are protected. Once I remove any one of the songs from the “collection”, I have to get a copy right for each one separately. The model for releasing music currently is in the form of singles.. one song at a time, which is the approach the distribution company takes. I get it.. follow suit in a trend that has a proven track record. The next thing is.. most internet content that’s absorbed online is in the form of audio/video.. meaning, I need to have some sort of video attached to my music to give me a better chance of gaining more friends. I get that too.. no argument with either of those approaches. And the thing that gets me is the distribution people genuinely like my work… everything they listened to they liked. I still haven’t fully absorbed that. I’ve not had anyone outside of family and friends comment in such a positive manner about my work. I’m very happy to be on the receiving end of the comments, it’s just new to me.
What does all this mean now? Well for starters, I cannot afford to do any of the things I need to do to make the songs distribution ready. We’re moving next year to western Washington and there’s no dollars to spare right now. I’m looking for a way to generate some extra income so I can get four or five songs out there but… we’ll see. As it stands right now I’m using my new found knowledge and shinning up all the songs with new and exciting mixes and getting them mastered as well. I have shifted some of my expenses so I can do my own mastering and when the time comes, use the distributor’s content service for regular advertising. They have proven strategy’s that will introduce me to real friends and not paid “like button” programs.
My feelings here? I’m on the way.. I’ve gone beyond the door steps and have had the conversations with a positive outcome. The next thing will be humanmusique productions in full swing with Likuid Ekleltik, Papa T and TTom chanting out loud. Hello again.. on this Fabulous Friday after the sub-zero chill week. It’s still quite cold. Not sub zero but, quite in the teens cold. I’m okay with cold. Cold is my preference. Why?? I can’t quite explain that without rambling so we’ll have to go with “Preference” for now.
The photo’s in the beginning and in between… Some of my lists of changes that needed to be made after a mix and master round. In the beginning there was not a list.. there was one task. To take a deep dive into all of the songs and carefully adjust the equalization and get out of the “Box”. Box as in the sound was not clear and concise… pretty crappy sound actually.
And then came the lists. I won’t explain any of my short hand and just leave it to what you might glean from my scribblings. Some of the adjustments were straight forward and other’s took a bit more delving into. The last list I put together last night consisted of two things.. one adjustment on two songs.. not the same adjustment, just two things as opposed to the numerous amounts you see on the lists. So those two adjustments have been made and I’ll master them yet again for what could be the final time. We’ll know whether it is truly the last round tomorrow after I take a listen.
The result of this next round won’t get out until next Friday. Also in the next episode I will talk about the recording process. What and how things are done to get to the finish line of each song. On this project as well as the first Likuid Eklektik album, all of the parts were either performed or programmed by me. Hopefully I’m not getting ahead of myself here but, I made mention in an earlier episode about the project to follow this one. Papa T will be in full effect with a dub project of around 9 – 10 songs. I’m pretty charged up about that and con’t wait to use my newly learned skills to polish up some dub session and share it. That project will introduce Sky, Shakira and Nina.
Well things are winding down and this project will be open to the public soon. I know someone is out there reading these ramblings, cause my stats say so.
