Yes.. I’m still here

I’ll save you the long winded version of why I’ve been absent. Lot’s of s#^t happening. Never say never.. and moving on. I’m in the throws of getting some information out there to you guys.. I’ll have some details here within a week or so. I will be releasing a remastered 2018 release “Never2Late” by Likuid Eklektik.. and on the heels of that a new Likuid Ellektik CD “No Limits 2020”.

And it looks like a Papa T release, “Say What You Got to Say:Lovers and Warriors” just might be released towards the end of 2023. Sky, the story teller, is going to visit the state of Washington this summer for the first time. While he’s here, we will collaborate and line up work for continued production and hopefully finish it off at the end of the year. That’s what I’m shooting for anyway.

I will be working to integrate my pages from fb, instagram, YouTube and all the streaming networks where music is already available (Spotify, Apple Music, pandora, tidal, deezer and so on) just so I’m in more places to find more faces. There’s also a video that will happen as well… soon. The newest and the only spot that will have physical CD’s available will be Bandcamp. I will be getting the firm date on that very soon as well.

The next time you hear from me, there will be more music in the air. Take good care all.

TIDINGS TO ALL

It goes without saying, that the past four years have shaken many of us up and rung us out like a dirty mop. In spite of the rampant misinformation campaigns, total disparate opinions, murderous police and the like, somehow there appears to be some relief in sight. Although, and I have to say it, we look to be headed towards what was called the “norm” prior to all the chaos. Yes, I know…we have a woman as Vice-President-elect of the United States and that is great…symbolically. Me? I want to move past all the thin semantics, symbolisms and archaic systems into the now. There are people in this country that thrive on and respect the diversity of this country. Indeed it is even seen as a mini version of the what the entire world could be. People of all ethnic backgrounds working, living and loving together. But systems that have been in place and chipping away at the mechanisms that promote togetherness and replacing them with laws and lack of regulations that allow the criminals to rule the roost. Just look at it for what it is folks..it ain’t right and those who think it is are most likely criminals profiting from it or well on their way to becoming just that. So..don’t let your guard down..I hate to say it but, I believe that was just one round of more to come. And this is true also, there are way more people in this country that have at least a parallel view of this opinion I just laid out. But…it’s not sensational enough to make the criminal owned news broadcast. Having rambled on and said all that..I must also say that those of us who have helped during all this frightening confusion, doing what ever we can do to help one another…keep doing just that. It is truly the counter balance for all the nasty shit that happens.

Now for some humanmusique productions news. Short story here. I’ve previously posted things and worded it to sound like we are “we” here at humanmusique. “We” are “me”. All of the music is cranked out in our..as in our home, our basement in my studio using LPX, an Maudio interface, a Roland JV1010 sound module, an Maudio Hammer 88 keyboard controller and several third party plugins. That’s the “we”. I’ve been at this song writing, mixing, publishing, song contest entering, trying to find a good formula networking thing seriously for about four years now. So, minus vocals, everything you hear in the music is either played, programmed or hand picked by me. I have plenty of inspirational support from family and some long time close friends. This whole venture started with a drummer at the age of sixteen banging around juke joints in backwoods Louisiana, to the Air Force Band and finally as touring drummer. And at some point all the while I had at least one hand in song writing. Now I have both hands and my feet and at sixty-eight now..it still ain’t over. What I offer, like many song writers’ do, is a piece of my soul. Every song has a piece of some song writer’s soul in it. That’s what gives it life. And the names of the different bands that I mentioned are all different moniker’s that I use to give all the music a place to be. There’s Papa T, foreyes, likuid eklektik, SOLA Groove and Louisiana Mint. Some of these you have not heard from yet. But you will in the not too distant future. There you have it…it’s all about me.

Moving on…In about two weeks I’m releasing my third CD…the group…foreyes…the title of the CD…NO LANES2020. Now the “2020” is just a catch. The content of the CD itself has nothing to do with “2020” per se, the CD just happened to be finishing up in “2020”. There was one song, but we…and I say “we” because it was myself and ERAK NIN JA that decided to pull it. It wasn’t there yet..not like we want it to be. Why?? You say..did we pull it? ERAK NIN JA and his lovely wife are expecting and addition to their family. Noting else to say there. They’re at their home now nesting away in preparation for the day LiL WaY Way introduces himself in person. The song is titled “H.O.P.E.” Humans of the Planet Earth. I said it before and I’ll say it again. Hokey Majokie right? Well in short..the problems we’ve been experiencing here in the United States since it’s inception are indeed a global issue. And has been for probably as far back as records go for colinizations. Our (mine and ERAK NIN JA’s) take on this is that we speak to those of us on this planet, now linked the most powerful tools that mankind has seen in the way of computers in our pockets and the friggin internet. People across the globe commune like never before. A friend in Thailand, Switzerland or Ethiopia is a click away. And there is a generation that, if they happen to connect on a human level..person to person with total freedom to just be HUMAN…now you got something there. The issues are discussed on an entirely different level without the spin of corporate media and corrupt governments. And atrocities abound are discussed and suddenly humans across the globe have something monumental in common. Marcus Garvey, to a large degree Mahatma Gandhi saw the ills, as well as MLK when he denounced the war in Vietnam.. Not putting myself in that league by any means. But being aware of the scope of things helps you from being caught short sighted. Being lulled into thinking poor pitful me..Poor pitful world. And I have an opinion on that and put H.O.P.E. together with the help of ERAK NIN JA…and on a future foreyes CDH.O.P.E. will materialize. And, unfortunately the song will still be relevant.

But at this point what we do have for the current foryes CD is seven songs..grooving in linear fashion. I just finished up the cover art…art…I typed on some characters in text box on a picture I liked…Picked a font and done. Cool picture though. And as I mentioned earlier, in just about two weeks it will be out.

So I ask a favor of any of you that happen to read alllllll the way through this to do a big favor for me. I’m linking this blip to fb and ig. Both are really fb, but hey, no monopolies here. Anyway..Not too sure about adds on either one of those platforms right now, but if you would tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend…and ask that they just come straight to this page and suffer through this as you have, then we’ll all be happy! Now that makes three CD’s out there in the streaming/downloading world for your listening pleasure. likuid eklektik/NEVER2LATE, Papa T/A LITTLE DUB’LL DO YA and shortly foreyes/NO LANES. Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, iTunes, Pandora, I Heart Radio and Amazon…and maybe one or two more. Stop by and and connect.

Genuine thanks and take good care

So..around six months or so ago, back in May 2020, we here at humanmusique productions mentioned a CD in the works by “foreys” titled NO LANES. Well..we’re moving along, getting close to putting all the final pieces in place. What we consider to be the heavy hitter for this CD, Erak NiN Ja is finishing up the vocals on H.O.P.E (Humans of the Planet Earth). Yeah, I know. Hokey Majokey right? I guess that all depends on how you look at it. This, the place where all humans known to us as humans, this place where we the humans are..the gravity bound blue orb is known to us as Earth, is where all Homo, the genus of primate, the only living species being Homo sapiens, or humans, the genus characterized by an upright posture, large brains, high intelligence (debatable in some cases), and hairless otherwise known to us as “Humans of the Planet Earth”. With all it’s man made borders included, the fact remains that we are all Human inhabitants of this planet known to us as Earth. Having said that, I think it puts the song, it’s lyrics and the title in plain context.

Along with H.O.P.E., there are six other songs, each in their own right, hefty and well put together. We will choose one song for pre-release next week and make the announcements on social media. So..again we genuinely thank all our family and friends for their undying support, and love. We hope, as always, to make a difference in your day with our music if only for 3 minutes and 38 seconds. And don’t forget to visit your favorite straming/download network and check out our previous releases by likuid eklektik-NEVER2LATE and papa T-A LITTLE DUB’LL DO YA, available for streaming and download on most major networks.

HumanMusique Productions:And Here We Go

We are on the cusp of releasing another CD of what I refer to as “World Hybrid Music.” I know there are many genres and sub-genres out there. So, why not add my own personal touch to the list?

There is no escaping the Reggae influence in this next release. It’s all of that and then some.  Accompanying the release will be a marketing campaign.  I guess you could say the it’s way it should be done; conventionally speaking.

Listening with objective ears until consistency is found is the goal. Then, in congress with fine tuning, I gather my workinto a tool box of ideas I can deploy at will. Continuous learning through the process develops more tools for my future use. Not only has this method worked for me, but the results have appealed to others outside my little bubble, as well. As a result, I have never felt the need to legitimize my work. It is always approachable.

By recognizing both strengths and weaknesses, I harness them for my benefit.  Having had a keen ear for original works issomething that has been with me for quite some time. Many years ago, I was told by a musician I greatly admired, “You’ve got big ears, kid.” This was a compliment to my ability to listen and understand. As a result, I consider this upcoming CD as both marketable and unique.

I consider myself as an artist that stands just off to the side of the main lines.  Sly Stone has a line in one of his songs that influenced me a long time ago when he said, “My only weapon is my pen and the frame of mind I’m in-I’m a songwriter, a poet. Once I decided to focus on writing songs certain realizations stood directly in front of me. I felt the need to connect with them and settle issues right away. I don’t have all the answers to every situation, topic or sense of reasoning. However, I do have an opinion and feel it has a place in the conversation.

From the beginning, fame and fortune have never played any part with me or my involvement with music. Quite the contrary. My desire is to attain and maintain a position, a level of success that allows me to continue doing. This is my greatest passion, though, I’ve had the need to pay my way through other occupations. However, I’m better at doing music than anything else.  Music to me is definitely a vocation. I must always have it in my life. Otherwise, something is definitely missing in my life.

My decision to devote my time to music and call myself a song writer meant coming to grips with the fact what I have to offer is not for everyone…and I’m just fine with that.  The way I see it, the exposure is akin to standing nude in the middle of the town square. Some writers seem to be impervious to the exposure and others run the gamut of emotions as a result of their reviews.  Me? Nothing special about my opinion on that. Let’s just say it is personal.  Everyone will have thoughts concerning what I’m doing and some more vocal than others. I’m prepared for whatever comes my way, because some of those voices will stem from sources other than simple critique. Something I’ve learned through experience.

Now that I’ve cleared the air, it is time I address the particulars of this next project, it’s influences and some of the partners.  This will be my first project that comes with a review.  I am co-producing with another longtime friend of mine from Haiti, *Arnoux Desir.  Still another dear friend and mentor from Louisiana, now residing in Los Angeles, *Odis Johnson. He is an African percussion maker, African rhythm aficionado, clinician, performer, and currently along with his partner *Elora Young, perform in and around L.A.. They will be blessing all things percussion and if there’s a way, recording all the percussion parts.  The collaboration is pretty thick and delicious.

I’m most definitely swinging for the fence on this one.  One thing I know deep down within my core is there is a place for this music once it’s complete. The possibilities it will get a healthy degree of attention will be undeniable. A good portion of this attention will definitely be due to all the players involved.  This is a rich collection of talent and experience speaking distinctly and boldly. The Reggae community I worked with for quite some time over the years will take notice in this endeavor. The CD will be Papa T/Say what you have to say. It will be released in early 2021. One of the songs, WAR, has been entered in the 2020 American Songwriter’s competition.

My goal in representing HumanMusique Productions/HMP as a song writer and producer is to release a final product that is crucial, relevant and having the soul of each individual song completely intact. I’ve coined and own the label, “World Hybrid Music. I’m doing my best to represent it with quality, dignity and honesty. Oh yeah, and you can dance to it, too! There have been two prior releases from HMP living in the cyber world for your downloading or streaming pleasure. They are: “Likuid Eklektik/ NEVER2LATE and Papa T/a little dub’ll do ya.Currently, we are finishing up our third release by FOREYES/No Lanes featuring Erak Nin Ja on vocals on “Humans of the Planet Earth (H.O.P.E)”. We are looking at a mid to late fall release 2020.

So, that’s a little bit of our story here at HMP. We look forward to making tons of new friends and partners along the way. Our genuine thanks for your support and take good care all.
