Now.. this photo puts things in perspective. From this early point in my life, I recall being deeply moved by music. And now?? I’m on the verge of stepping out of the practice room and joining music conversations as a songwriter in a way that I have yet to do.
I’ll be posting some songs on my BandCamp page that are representative of the whole of my work up to this point. They will be there for about a week or so. Finishing work is still to be done.. as well as mastering. So.. they are all still in the process.
I was once told this my very dear friend and mentor… He corrected the saying “Practice makes perfect” to “Perfect Practice makes Perfect”. As simple as that sounds, it resounds with me, even now. Also, he added, You can only be on-deck for so long before you have to get in the batter’s box. Practicing in order to apply what you practiced. The songs that will be posted are representative of me stepping into the batter’s box.
I will return shortly after the posting with a link to the songs. I will also let you in on the results of me stepping up to the batter’s box.
